CE marking?
Does the 4100 have a European CE marking on it (under the battery)?
how to unlock for use in India
I was recently gifted a new PPC 4100 by a friend. I am an Airtel subscriber. I am able to see my contacts list on SIM CARD after inserting it in the PPC 410o. But still the phone is not working and keep on searching for Network. ( The SIM is perfect and works well with other instruments). Is it something to do with "Unlocking the phone". The IME no. is 351961000129823. Thanks in advance for providing any information.

AT&T Recall
I just went to my local AT&T wireless store to return my PPC4100 because I was having a lot of issues with it to discover that there was a recall on the unit to upgrade the firmware. I would suggest to those of you that have the phone to either call AT&T or visit your local store to discuss how you can obtain the firmware. 😉

headsets for this phone
🙂
Does anyone have or know of a good headset for the audiovox ppc 4100?
I have been looking for one that is better but has the same functinoality as the one headset that came with the phone.
thanks
Bluetooth?
Please, please, please! Add Bluetooth! This looks really sharp, and being a current SX56 owner/user, the things that I really feel are missing are Bluetooth and SDIO support. Barring those two features, the only other issue is size. This PPC 4100 appears to have addresses these problems - well done.

cell phone OS
hey, this is great and everything. I like having a windows OS on the phone but does anyone know if any companies are planning on using Red Hat or Linux? that would be strait up the cooolest! fo shizzle! 🤣
Same as AnexTEK SP230
I just got the AnexTEK SP230 and use it with T-Mobile's service. The AnexTEK SP230 is the same device as the Audiovox. I don't know if the Audiovox has the additional keyboard attachment but this is a nice addition. But it has two flaws.
1) No command button. This actually goes against the PPC spec and really shouldn't be allowed to have the PPC logo. The logo requirements require the device to have a least one command button.
2) No WiFi. In my mind, this really hinders the device.
Fix the two flaws above and I believe this will be one of the best PDA phones available.

Must need Bluetooth and Modes 900 MHz for Europe
I am SX56 user. SX56 is lack of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Camera.
This phone (Audiovox PPC 4100) seems like missing Bluetooth and Modes 900 MHz for Europe or Asia.
Of course no camera or Wi-Fi too.
Too bad...
