Audiovox PPC 4100 / SP230
Same as AnexTEK SP230
1) No command button. This actually goes against the PPC spec and really shouldn't be allowed to have the PPC logo. The logo requirements require the device to have a least one command button.
2) No WiFi. In my mind, this really hinders the device.
Fix the two flaws above and I believe this will be one of the best PDA phones available.
i'm really interested in getting an AnexTEK SP230 (until the MPX comes out)-
how does the AnexTEK work on t-mobile? reception ok?
if i can ask, where in the country are you? i'm in DC-

I just got the AnexTEK SP230 and use it with T-Mobile's service. The AnexTEK SP230 is the same device as the Audiovox. ...
Yes and no. This new Audiovox has GSM 850, which is crucial for AT&T and Cingular.

Oh, so I guess the specs on this site are wrong?
No... 😕 The specs here are correct.
800 = 850, if that's what you mean. They're two names for the same frequency band.
So what I'm saying is that the AnexTEK SP230 is tri-band GSM including the 900 band, while the Audiovox 4100 has the 800 (850) band instead.
