Does anybody have any idea is to how much the SoHo KX1 will cost if no plans are bought with the phone and i just wanted to use it as a second?

Not sure, try ebay, cellphoneshop.net or something. We just got one for free with a contract. It's a cheap phone right now with some carriers.
Also a good phone, if you ask me from my limited experience with it. I think it makes an excellent second phone.
