Motorola RAZR V3
V3 mini-usb cable and mobilephone tools
So I made a wonderful discovery yesterday. My store is now able to flash motorola phones and the kit came with a mini-usb to usb cable...which is very similar to my palmpilot's mini-usb cable. So after a hellish day selling dumb people phones (I swear I'm not bitter) I went home and hooked it up to my computer. I was a little suprised when my phone started charging and my computer recognized it as a usb modem....soooo I opened up motorola's mobile phone tools...not sure on the version...and would you know that a nice little V3 showed up on my desktop...this led to much MP3 splicing and forcing to my phone...was also able to move over pictures I had saved from my V400 and they on the most part look fine. Yes, that is true, but with a usb bluetooth adapter you can right click on a jpeg while surfing and send it right to the phone, no need to save, connect, then transfer.
I have MPT also and agree that it is an awesome tool, I use it to sync outlook for appointments and back-up my contacts(don't keep them on sim), but no way would I give up my bluetooth adapter.

I have a mini usb for my canon digital that fits my motorola, will this work or will it mess up my V3 ?

to my understanding it should be able to, without messing up your V3...all usb cables have to comform to specific standards....but don't come crying to me when/if it does fry your V3...I would think that it would though, especially after my experiance with my palmone cable.
