razr v3 black poor sound quality issue

i just purchased the new black v3. I previously had a v400 and v551, both phones sounded great as far as hearing people talk to me. With the razr, the sound is much more muffled and very flat momotone. Is this how all the razr's are compared to the v551 or is it an issue with my phone? The volume is also not as loud, I've heard of the p2kman software, but I think that would just make the volume louder, not any clearer. I love the phone as I always scratched the v400 & v551 because they stuck out so much, but I use this phone for my business and I'm afraid I'm really gonna struggle hearing people. After calling motorola, they told me it should sound even better than the v400 or v551, it's not even close to them 2 phones as far as clarity.

i noticed the same thing,my friend,i also own the razr(silver)and i think my old lgvx7000 had way better clarity of sound(former verizon customer)but my razr works where verizon didn't,so i guess i gotta take the trade off, stinks but oh well.the good thing is you can buy any phone from cingular and just pop in your sim card without going to the store and have it activated...by the way, today is my 30th day,so do i stick with the razr,or is there a better phone with clarity???

Well now..I have the s710a, Nokia 6620, silver RAZR, and V551...getting ready to sell the worse one of the bunch, and that would be the S710a..that swivel sucks, connecting via bluetooth DEFINITELY sucks. Great mp3 player and camera, but other than that, this phone sucks..

I have a silver Razr and I have to admit, the sound is low of out of the ear speaker. It was an adjustment I had to make coming from a loud Nokia. But, with a headset, I've noticed it's better. But, the RF/ signal strength on this phone is amazing. I never drop calls and it is always very clear. Even with 1 or 2 bars it sounds decent. Maybe you just need to get use to it.... 😉

I have the v551 and it is a very big piece of crap for sure. But to tell you the truth, I have asked many people i know about their experiences with motorola. It seems our mistake was buying this brand.
