"private call" on caller id

Today I got 3 calls with the "private call" on my caller id. Why is the phone number showing up as "private call." I've gotton "unkown call" this is the first time for the "private call" Is there a way to block calls like this?

I think it depends on where a person is calling you from. Private & unknown calls are pretty much the same. Not sure there is anyway to block this on a cellphone. Hope this helps.

Private call is when someone purposely dials *67 before your number so that their number won't show up.
