Motorola V265 / V266 / V276

My favorite camp spot is in a valley. NO SERVICE. I can visibly see a verizon tower and people with verizon phones have 5 bars.
Can I make this phone work on the verizon tower? I'm baffled how to do that. Thanks

I did a quick forum search for my problem, and couldn't find any threads exactly matching what's going on with my phone.

So, apologies if this subject has been previously addressed.

Here's the problem.

I have a V276, batteries and phone not more than four months old.

Yesterday, while plugged into the charger, the phone's battery indicator disappeared. Now, the phone will not take a charge and the battery displays with no bars.

If I turn off the phone and plug it in to the charger, it will turn itself back on. The battery indicator is still absent, but if you unplug the phone, it shows a full battery before dropping right back down into low-battery mode.

🙂 Hi I recently bought a V265 and took it down to get my service transfered thru Cricket, they informed me that I would need to get it flashed first. can anyone one help me with who, or where I could get this phone flashed? Thanks so much!

I ahve a few problems with my phone. I've had it for about a year now and here are the problems:

When texting, I try to insert quick text or whatever it is and I can't scroll all the way through my quick texts. It stops and freezes.

Also, when talking to someone on the phone, my screen will go blank and hang up on the person I am talking to. It hung up on my wife 3 different times in a span of less than 2 minutes! I was upset.

Also, when I try to hook it up with the charger, it doesn't "recognize" the charger and doesn't charge, or when it does recognize, it shows the battery is extremely low sometimes.

Lastly, I have accidentally made some roamig calls, when in fact, there is definitley service in the area I was travelling...

Has anyone had this problem? My number shows up as restricted on the person's phone I'm calling. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Just wondering how the Verizon v276 works

Will this phone work with motorola's mobile phone tools? Can you use the current version or will you have to wait untill version 3 of the phone tools software? Also can this phone be used as a modem for your laptop?

This has just started today. I'll be sitting here and my phone will start buzzing, like the power-up/power-down vibrate, then the inside screen goes dark. It's hard to get it to power down, and sometimes when I try I just get into a pattern of recurrent buzzing, going dark, etc., like it's trying to reboot itself.

Is my unit toast? Could it be the battery?

wondering how you get rid of the icons on the main screen of the v276. My BIL has this phone, loves the phone, but hates the icons!

Does anyone know why my banner keeps switching from my personal one to "Verizon Wireless"? Also, does anyone else's 276 not show the date?

Today I got 3 calls with the "private call" on my caller id. Why is the phone number showing up as "private call." I've gotton "unkown call" this is the first time for the "private call" Is there a way to block calls like this?

When I'm on a call, and someone calls me, they get a different ring pattern than you'd hear if I wasn't using the phone.

I may not want the new caller to know that I'm on the pnone and not interested in picking up their call that very second.

How can I change the setting so the caller doesn't get a different ring pattern?

So anyone here have the flex(software) and flash(firmware) files from a V265,V266,V276. I prefer V266 US Cellular. But will accept V265. The files can be the stock flex/flash files or a Superfile(monster file). I prefer US Cellular carrier but Verizon and Movistar would be fine. Thanks to anyone who can provide the files or at least a link to the files.
