Motorola V265 / V266 / V276

are the RF "internals" / chipset of this phone the same as the v710? In other words will this phone have the same good RF as the v710?

Anyone know if this phone looks like a sure bet for Verizon to carry, and if so, when it might be available?

I dont like this phone, the screen is too small

Loyal Verizon customer here, but sick of waiting for new decent phones to appear at the stores!
How long are the customers going to have to wait for this one?! If Verizon does carry it!!!!
I see phones for other carriers approved about two to four months ago and they are already selling them! e.g. - Samsung MM-A700
I want a decent affordable Moto at this darn company!!!!

I purchased an unlocked Motorola 878, which broke three weeks after the purchase. I sent the phone to the Motorola Texas repair center. First they lost the phone then they returned it unrepaired. I have been given several different excuses for Motorola's failure to repair, which includes the following:
(1) The phone was not manufactured in the USA (however, none of the phones are).
(2) The repair is too costly.
(3) The phone was discontinued.
(4) The repair center does not have the parts
(5) Just buy another phone.

To date, Motorola has refused to honor its one year warranty. They have not repaired the phone, replaced the phone or resolved the situtation. During my last call to Motorola, a supervisor just hung up.

Just did a "compare" and the results leave me doubting the conclusions some have about v265 as a "sister" to the 710

The V265 does NOT have (710 does):
- Bluetooth
- Email Client
- Expansion Card
- MP3 Playback
- Multiple #s/name
- PC Sync
- Picture ID
- Sync ML

It DOES have a USB which the 710 does not.

I'm approaching the 2 yr mark and still using my A310. I love the phone but hate the ringers. Frankly, I want my phone to be a phone and the rest is icing. I am really disappointed with the available replacements. I want a basic phone (clam) with great sound and connection quality. Once again VZW will make us wait for this phone. Its not like i want it but still, for those who do want it, they are going to wait years for this phone. Just imagine, the v810 was suppose to come out during christmas 03', its the end of july and it still hasnt come out. Wat ever though, i could care less.

Yes, this is the new StarTAC. You guys are right that Korea has the StarTAC 2004, but that is not going to be released here. This is going to be released as the "new StarTAC" here in the U.S.
