Can this phone sync with Outlook (email/calendar/contacts), within a corporate environment, without server software? If so, how?

It requires ActiveSync 3.7.1 installed on a desktop PC with Outlook configured to access the account in question.

Yes, Network Sync is supported by ActiveSync after the first sync with the PC.
