Siemens SX66 / MDA III / PDA2K (HTC Blue Angel)

If I get one of these do I have to have a data plan as well as a voice plan in order to send and receive email? What about web access? I really have limited need but would like the capability. Can I sync it with an exchange server? Are there any FAQ's that may make me better informed?

As if this phone doesn't do enough as it is...

But does anyone know how powerful the infrared port is?
Can it function with the range of a typical TV remote so that it can take advantage of the TV/VCR/etc remote software that's available for PocketPC?

Or is it "standard IR" meaning it has a range of about 2 feet and while it COULD run the software to function as a TV remote, if you have to be 2 feet away, what's the point?

Is this phone going to be offered by Tmobile? If so, when?

Anybody have any GPS applications that would be useful on this phone? Does it have the GPS capability?

I entered the zipcode "12345" to get to that page. So apparently Cingular is one of those many-faced companies who treat people differently depending on where their bill address is. So your mileage may vary :-/

Anyway, there's no mention of a camera on that page.

Are there any other features that aren't implemented on Cingular's model?

Since euro is two years ahead of use in celluar products. it is the siemens 610, high version then the siemens 600 that is coming out in USA. But it supports this phone and is the right choose to get if you are planning to use this fone for a while. The website is

I was told today at a Cingular store that the wifi card will only work if you have the 39.95 data package, is that true?

As you all notice, if you played with your fone we have the second edition of WM. which is probably the only reason why we don’t have any big breakdown with the software, i had ipaq pda and a lot of freezing and bs. but I tired to find out more about the WM 2nd edition, but i found nothing yet, does anyone have a link to the website for it ? i am specially looking for WM 2nd sites only. thanks a bunch.

Hate to burst anyones bubble, but the sx66 from cingular will NOT have a camera. It launches today for those of you who'd like to purchase it..12/9/04

i was pretty surprised that you cannot set mp3's as ringtones. i know you can use wave files but they are very large. has anyone found a workaround to this or even found a program that will allow mp3's as ringtones. the manual says the only supported files are .wave and .midi

FYI. I paid $325, which is 50% of the "no commitment" price of $650, and then I get a $75 rebate for trading in my old phone...

Bottom line is $250. Got it at a Cingular store.

Thanks to my terrific reps at Cingular, I have my hands on one of these gleaming units.

I work in a Cingular store in CT. We got these in stock today. $549.99 with 2 year contract.

Ordered it the first day it came out on the 13th from Cingular's site and got it yesterday. And so far this phone is exactly what I expected and then some.

- The QWERTY keyboard is actually better than reported... Only takes about a day or two to really get used to it.

- Also tested it already with PocketSNES and plays at full speed, with a very small lag with sound enabled.

- Wi-Fi is easy to setup and works like a charm. (Bluetooth will be next as I shall purchase my earpiece next week). Syncin' with Outlook and WindowsXP was smooth, in exception with one occasion.

- Bundled software (not the CD) is above average, and the PPC2003 library continues to expand. Hasn't crashed or slowed downed on me YET, but of course we ...
