Able to not answer when flipped open?

When my LG is on vibrate mode, there is no way to turn off the vibrate for a call I don't want to answer. The silence button on the side of the phone only works for audible rings. I can open the phone to turn the vibrate off, but then the call is answered. Any ideas? Thanks, Z.

Never mind, my wife figured it out...go to setting==>call setting==>answer mode.
