SMH...
Clearly, once again, Verizon cares more about perception than actual customer satisfaction. Hey Verizon, how about beefing up your existing 4G network so I don't have to worry about citywide network congestion first?

a World First
$10 extra/month. Anything for a revenue generator. Was 3G extra? Was 4G extra????

Now everyone going to have to change out their phones again. More $$$ to the carriers and less in our own wallets.

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen
This is a stupid idea from a stupid company with no relevance.
For the bulk of this phone's usable life (let's define that as 'running a current version of Android') it'll likely not even see a 5G network.
And by the time it hits critical mass, why not just buy a new damn phone? One with 5G antennae elegantly integrated instead of a chugly case.
The case is chunky and ugly. It doesn't even elegantly integrate into the phone.
And that means you're choosing between using your 5G radio and your projector/boombox/other mods you overpaid for.
Plus you're going to bin the whole accessory the minute you get a new phone, and chances are you won't buy another stupid Motorola.

Offer 5G Mod
The Samsung Galaxy S9 series has a setting for 5G hidden deep in the "hidden network settings". Hopefully when migration is complete the phones can have it rather that getting a new phone.

Internal SIM
Will it be an eSIM or physical SIM that is sealed? I noticed that the 5G has the Verizon logo next to it instead of the generic 5G logo in the earlier leaks. I wonder if US Cellular or Sprint, which carry the Moto Z3 Play, are also considering the 5G Moto Mod for their networks after Verizon's launch.
