Motorola A780
screen contrast fades in and out
Bought a new A780 3 months ago from an eBay store (not an individual), but now the screen tends to wash out and then come back bright and then fade again.
Sent the phone to Motorla and they won't repair it because it has "...software not intended for this region..." The phone apparently was intended for use in Japan, but is fully English functional. The carrier is Cingular and the phone works fine (if you can see the screen to navigate the system!).
Any ideas on how to get this phone re-flashed or repaired???
