Motorola A780

Has anyone used the A780 and the over the air activation functionality to connect to an Exchange server....Motosync.

How does it work? How often does the A780 sync to the Exchange server? Any info would be appreciated.

Can somebody that has this phone help me? I am having a problem syncing my Outlook calendar to my phone. It seems like everything else is transferring fine except the calendar and it is really pi$$ing me off. I 'd really like to enjoy my calendar featuer on this phone. HELP! HELP! HELP! 😢 😢 ☹️

Does anyone have this phone on T-Mobile yet? I have the A630 and Im not all that impressed. Contact management just sucks as does text messaging. The keyboard is about the only good thing. I want to know if the A780 actually works good on T-Mobile before I drop the 4 bills on it.

I having trouble getting any app other than that which came with the phone to access the internet.

For Example, I've downloaded the browser "WebViewer" from reqwireless, which launches fine but when I try and access a site it claims to be "contacting server" for several minutes and eventually ends with a "TCP Error".

Similar results with any java application which uses interacts with the network. Could this be an error in the way I've setup the phone? The Opera browser the phone comes with gets to web pages just fine, and the email client that comes with the phone works well also.

I just bought a Motorola A780 last week, but after the second day when I make a phone call the people can not hear me, and I also tried to use the Voice Recorder but can not record any sound.
Checking the manual, it says to adust the volume in the setup icon in the sound volume, but i can not find this application. I am sure that is not activated the mute option and the microphone is not obstructed.
I bought this phone in overseas, maybe I am not able to claim the guarantee.
Can Anyone can help me to give some advice?

Does anybody know this site? Is it reliable to deal with? A780 is only $500 😳

Question to those who have this phone:
After having this phone for a while, how do you like it?
With all experience you have now will you buy it should you face such choice again?
And even if you like it, what problems does this phone have?

I have several questions for phone gurus:

1. Is this phone conference call capable?
2. Can you switch to speaker or hands free during the call?
3. Can you take pictures during the call (provided you are on speaker or hands free)?
4. Can you turn off power to the “phone part” and continue use “camera part”? (Let say aboard the airplane)
5. Can you watch movies on this phone and in what format?

😢 .. I know you guy's are still gumdrops and sunshines..but that's all about to end... Even though Phonescoop says that the A780 is due out 1st quarter 2005? how can that be? If taiwan just got the phone a couple of days ago?

Also If you notice..on the moto website..they are no longer showing any info..or release info ..AT ALL about the a780!.. so I think that's a sign.. If anything I think this phone will be out around may or june!Hopefully I'm wrong take alook for yourslves on the hellomoto.com site..Any comments are welcome! 🙂
