go to setting then phone status then other info then s/w version

it is R47_G_08.17.OFR but I still don't know what s/w stands for 🙂 so I think I may need a software update?

ok. That was the one it came with unless they changes with out my knowledge. So how do I get the new s/wverison R47-G-08.18.16R-OA?? Also I still haven't been told or explained what s/w stands for or what it is? ~Drew

YOU NEED TO CALL THE WARR. EXCHANGE DEPT. AND TELL THEM TO SEND YOU A FULL KIT WHICH INCLUDES THE PHONE AND NEW BATT. NEW KIT ONLY THAT S/W VER. IS 472-G-08.18.16R.OA THAT NO IS 800-801-1101

So I'm goign to have to back every thing up on my phone. Also I still haven't been told what s/w means.

I hope the earpiece issue is not going to reappear on this phone after it's plagued the V400!!!

I called Cingulars warenty repair serice they had no clue as to software package. I knew more than they did. They ahd me remove the battery while the phone was on. IT kinda solvd it but it has only been 24 hours I redid it again last night. I am going to call the motorola number and see what they say.

Where do I find the software version? I went to settings then to Phone Status and didnt see anything about software version.

s/w means software. I had a problem with my phone also and they sent one in the mail that also had problems. Finally they sent me one with the new software in it though. Make sure you tell them that you need the new software upgrade. I had the same s/w (software) version that you had. Hope this helps 😁
