Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557

Viewing my own Number

How do I store my own number on the Motorola V551. In the manual it says to go to "Settings, Phone Status, My Tel. Numbers". Mine says, "My Mobbile Numbers" when I press select I get 4 options that all say empty. When I press the "view" button I go to a screen that says "Details" on top, & Name: & No: in the screen. when I press the menu button I get a message that says "Copy all Text", I press "select" and it say says "Copy Complete".........but I still can't see my number.

Here's what you should do,

1.Settings
2.Phone Status -> select
3.My Tel.Numbers -> change
4.Highlight one of the 4 options -> View
5.Select Edit -> Name -> Change -> Enter your name -> OK -> Select Change -> Enter your tel.# -> OK -> Done.

This should work, let me know if it does.

Thanks, however, when I get to step 5 I don't have the choice to choose Edit. Here's what happens.

1. Settings
2. Phone Status
3. My Mobile Numbers (as opposed to My Tel. Numbers)
4. I highlight one of the options and press View
5. The page now says Details, Name: No.:
6. I press the Menu key, And I get the Copy Menu, and Copy All Text is highlighted.
7. I can either press Back or Select, if I press Select it says Copy Successful

Not a big deal in the end, just a little annoying, especially as this is a new number, and I have a lousy memory.

For step 5 under Details you should see the Edit option on the lower right corner of your screen. Press the select button to choose this option, do not press the menu key.
