😢 how do i upload my photos from my v551 to my computer? i tried buying a d-link adapter and could only upload my phone book, but not photos. anyone have a clue?

my gf has this phone and she got it thru letstalk.com - the first phone she got would not connect to the internet at all, so she had to get a new one from letstalk. they only have a 30-day warranty - after that, you're on you're own with the manufacturer.

now it's been 3 months and the replacement phone is really having problems:

*the phone won't charge using the wall charger anymore

*when you use the car charger, it will only charge to one bar and then die after 5 minutes

*it receives text messages and calls from cingular DAYS later (so it's obviously not communcating with the network properly)

*the alarm clock will stay on even if you turn it off

*drops calls at an amazing rate. my nokia (on the same network, in the same...

Any ideas on the best way tp upload phonebook from v220 to v551?

I've had this phone since January, and within the past two weeks, I've noticed that the volume of the incoming caller's voice has gotten significantly worse over a short period of time (where occassionally, I am forced to put them on speaker just to hear them).

Is there anything that I can do to improve upon this? I have gone the ultra stupid route and confirmed that the volume is maxed, so it's not something quite that mundane...

Also, has anybody else experienced this?

I looked on t-mobile and Motorola's websites, and it says that t-mobile doesn't carry the V551. Does anyone know if it does in fact carry it? Because on this site, it says it does.

does any one else have trouble using the left and right soft keys with games? Should i be getting games made specifically for the v551?

How do you get the software upgrades for the v551? I saw in another thread that somebody got a newer revision of software for the phone w/ the vibe and ring option preloaded w/o having to hack it is my understanding of it. Can someone explain how to get an upgrade?

Ok, let me see if I can explain this correctly... When I'm shutting down my phone, you know it does the normal diddlydiddlydiddlydiddly. But in the middle of that, it'll make this loud kinda bid-ilee-beep (KINDA like the low battery noise). And when I start it up, it does the same thing. Everything else seems to be working ok, but it just started doing this last night. Anyone have any ideas?

I've had the v557 for about a week now and I am fairly satisfied. I had the v551 and v400 before this so I have seen all of the improvements. As someone mentioned, the loud BLEEP sound when pressing the outside buttons with the flip closed are now gone!! One negative is that the vibration is weaker on this model. Several other people on the Howard Forums have reported the same issue. Earpiece volume is satisfactory, but even louder would be better for noisy situations. There is now an option to search for a name in your phonebook by typing in more than one letter then hitting find, instead of only getting to the first letter then having to scroll down. It also has a "Software Update" option for those interested. Still a wait-and-see ...

I just got a USB data cable off of ebay that connects my V330 (Tmobile) to my computer, but now I need the software to go with it.

Does anyone know where I might download the software from?

right now my gf is using a standard 2.5mm headset from motorola - the sound quality is AWFUL. i can never understand what she is saying - it sounds like she is talking underwater!

i have heard the quality is bad for some of the moto headsets using a 2.5mm jack - is there a better one or do i have to get her a bluetooth piece for good sound quality?

I just got my V551 and the ringtones (yes all 10 of them) suck. 😳 😲

I had a V300 before & I loved the many different rings to choose from (most of which are locked) is there anyway to unlock those ringtones from my V300 to transfer them to my V551 with my data cable & the mobile phone tools program?

Or does anyone know of where you can download standard motorola ringtones?

got separated from the keypad portion and the flat cable is torn.

My phone book is in the phone memory,
not the card memory.

Can I upload my phone book to a computer?

I recently LOST my MPx220 which really sucks because I found out that the insurance that I have been paying for does not cover this phone. To top it all off this was a Euro Black version of the phone so when I gave the imei number to the Cing rep he never bothered to tell me that it came up as an unknown model. So anyway, Insurance says that since I have paid they will honor my claim with a V551 not the Mpx220. My question being that PTT is listed under features and I have heard that Cing is going to launch in in late November maybe? Will this phone be capable or will I have to beg them for a NEW phone that is compatible?
