will this phone have better volume than the previous v-series phones?
when they updated the v600 did they also fix the low volume that has been with the rest of the vseries phones?

Odds are it will not. Motorola is known for low volume on the earpiece speaker going back several years.
What the hell they are thinking no one knows. Simple hacks to the software fix it so its not like the hardware is not capable of producing the required sound pressure levels for normal listening.

Involves a lot of reading and downloading and patience, but can be done. I hacked mine and now I've done it for a few others' phones also. Now I can hear... Now if they can only fix this issue with the HS810 headset....
