Motorola V620

er, um, well....... I've inherited a used V620 from a friend of the wife and while I like the phone in general..... the normal speaker in hand-held mode doesn't seem to work properly. With a combo earbud/mic inserted, it works fine. and in full speakerphone mode it works fine.

However, in normal receiver mode I cannot hear audio. Is there a secret setting to enable the speaker portion again? I've searched and searched, but cannot find the setting. Perhaps I am blind....

There was one time when it worked properly... I had unplugged the earbud while in a call. However, on the next call it went back to "normal"... no audible reception. yet I know the speaker does work. and I have not been able to repeat the unplugging the earbud trick ...

My V620 phone is now turing itself on & off at random - all by itself, without me even touching it. This is now infuriating me as I cannot even get the thing to stay on long enough so that I can change the date and time in the settings. It's only started happening since I bought a new sim card for it and I've been swapping the sims over to transfer info and such. I didn't drop it and I didn't drop anything onto it. Why is this happening?????? If anybody has an answer of any sort it will be much appreciated, thank you.

Does this have those circular lights around the moto symbol like on the v600? It looks like it in the picture but i cannot tell. If anyone has and can enlighten me i would appreciate it.

When I flip open the phone sometimes the screen blanks out momentarily and comes back on, but I lose calls when this happens. Has anyone experience this; and is there a way to fix this problem? I had the v620 less than 2 yrs. Or maybe get a new phone? thanks

I just got my V620 and am using it with Cingular. I was wondering...the phone comes with 3 themes already on it: Moto, Neon, and Techno. Has anyone found a place to find more themes? I was hoping that once I connected to the browser with the phone there would be an option for themes, but I have a feeling there is no option because the phone was not made for Cingular, so there are no themes on the Cingular network. Please let me know if anyone has found any good theme sites.

HI, I JUST GOT THE V620 YESTERDAY AND I WAS WONDRING IF ANYONE WOULD KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO FIX IT SO THAT THE SCREEN IS EASIER TO SEE, LIKE ENLARGE IT OR DOES IT HAVE A ZOOM FUNCTION THAT I JUST CANT FIND. THE REASON I NEED TO KNOW IS BECAUSE I AM LEGALLY BLIND, AND I THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS WITH THIS PHONE, SO CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME?

I have this really stupid problem with my phone list. I tried to copy my contacts from my sim card to my phone. I've tried every single option and no matter what I now have 2 of each phone number, one on my sim and one onmy phone. I just wanted to copy the numbers to my phone only but now I just dont care, I just want one of each number. Please help

where is the best place to buy the v620 on the internet? 🙄

some people say it is 4,5 secs some people say it is 30 secs?
if it is variable how do you change the length of video recording?

Hi all,

I just got an v620 including a HS820 bluetooth headset but I cannot find the headset from the phone.

What I do:
1. Charge the HS820
2. Turn it on by holding the phone key down for 3 secs (starts to blink)
3. In the phone go: menu->Settings->Connection->Bluetooth link->Hands-free->[Look for devices]

I do find some devices but not the headset.

What am I doing wrong?

I know this is stupid but i just go a Motorola v620 and its awesome, i when i get a message the sound is of a phone ring and i am trying to find out how to change the message tone because when looking at a sound you can set it to a ring tone but i cant find out how to set it as a message tone..

this is probly really dumb 🤭 but i just bought tha v620 n im still learnin how to use it. wen sum1 calls me it only rings 4 like 10 - 15 seconds how do u make it ring 4 longer???

Just wondering if any v620 owners can tell me if this phone works well on Cingular? I have seen posts in other forums stating that voicemail notification may not work, caller ID is scrambled, etc. Some people state that you must do seem editing. I really want this phone, but I want to know if will work right out of the box on Cingular. THANKS in advance for any advice!

I have another question about this phone. I can't get the Photo ID to work properly. I have the photos set next to my contacts in the phonebook, but when they call, the picture does not appear on the screen. How do I get the photos to show up when my contacts call?

I purchased V620 a month ago and after working through some of the initial bugs with Cingular (receiving a text message icon when a voicemail is delivered etc.), I have noticed a new issue. About once a day for at least one call, if not a series of calls (either sent or received), I will be able to hear the other person but they cannot hear me. At the time of any of these calls, the signal strength appears at 2 bars or greater.

Problem examples:
I can receive a call and the other person cannot hear me, but I can hear them and they can recognize that I am pressing numbers, and then after hanging up, I call them back and they can hear me fine,

Every time I receive a new voice mail, it shows up as a text message. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to fix this problem. T-mobile couldn't help and Motorola just kept giving me the run around. Thank you for any advice.

OK my computer just went to heck 😡 I had Mobile Phone Tools and used it alot. Unfortunately I cant find it again, does anyone know where I can get this software? .....Of course I mean for free. 😉

how can i get my v620 to play mp3s or music tones ive tried downloading them from the cingular website but it says error occurred no suitable version for your device. im lost. please help.

im thinking of buying this phone as my old one was stolen, i was just wondering if anyone knew wheather it has sound recording on and if it does can you use it as a ringtone? thanks a lot natxx.

I am leaving for Denmark in 2 weeks and I need to pick up a phone to use there, and the 620 is at the top of my list. However, I would really like to use it when I return to the states. From what I gathered from other posts the phone seems to work well with Cingular, but how do you set this up.

Any info for a newbie to the world of unlocked phones would be much appreciated
