Size and use?

I was looking at some photos of the phone in various forms - and was curious about something. When someone calls and you are talking, does the keypad have to be open? Judging from this photo:

the keypad looks to have the mic at the bottom, so can you use it with the phone closed where it would seem to be a bit more 'normal' sized?

You can do anything that isn't keypad reliant with the phone closed evidently. Things like renaming pictures, typing text messages, etc are obviously not possible with the phone closed. I have read, interestingly, that you can't take pictures with the phone open. The phone is almost identical to the s700, so read up on that phone on howardforums.com, and sites like it, to find out all the info you want to know 🙂

That was the impression I had from reading the usual sources but that photo threw me. As far as the S700 being identical, it looks like the phone pictured is actually an S700 (silver body vs. black body).

S700 and S710 are the same size. Here's a good site that shows all the dimensions of it, closed and open.

No it can be closed. The mic is actually to the lower left of the D pad. You can answer calls and make calls with voice dialing with the phone closed.
