Does new T650 inherit T600's problem of sending calls straight to voicemail?
Does the Treo650 have this same problem too? Anyone have any tips to minimize this issue? All it takes is that one important missed phone call to ruin you career.
part of the reason why i recommend that smart phones be put on a data only plan(usually same price as the feature) and just carry a normal cell phone...these smart phones(and particularly the services) aren't up to the multitasking par that we think they should
Another interesting tidbit about this is that I have both an ATT and VZW Treo600. The VZW keeps the "service" active longer while idle, thus increasing the chance of missing calls.
My i330 used to let the calls through, so this is apparently a PalmOne programming thing.
Or do you have to wait until you are out of data mode to then discover that 2 calls came in?
Verizon has turned off this feature becuase it conflicts with other services they provide. This is a switch option thats on Verizon's network. Where they can choose to have calls come through or forward them to voicemail when the unit is in a data session. Here is a good example of why they did it.

Unfortunately, there is no indication of the MISSED CALL - but you will get a VoiceMail indicator (if they leave you a VM), once your session is complete.
This is unfortunately the price you pay for going data - that is untill Ev-DO comes in - where you will drop down to 3G (1x-RTT) and still rcv the call..
