Palm Treo 650 (CDMA)

Has anyone successfuly used wifi witht the Verizon Treo 650(or even with Sprint/Cingular)?

I HAVE AOL AND I PAY 2.95 A MONTH FOR IT, SO I WAS CURIOUS IF THIS IS CONSIDERED FOR A POP MAIL ACCOUNT SO I CAN RECEIVE VIDEO MESSAGES ON IT.

I WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME. I HAVE A TREO 650 AND I CANT FIGURE HOW TO SEND VIDEO, IT SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY WAY TO SEND OR RECEIVE VIDEO IS IF YOU HAVE A POP 3 EMAIL WITH ATTACHMENTS.
CAN SOMEONE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OR CAN YOU SNED A VIDEO LIKE YOU DO WITH REGULAR CELL PHONES.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP I WOULD APPRECIATE IT

I have now tried the Tekkeon which most users gave great reviews on and the newest Jabra 850 and both are scratchy. If the phone is literally within 1-2 feet it is OK but now great. As soon at I move it arms-length or onto my belt holster, it gets scrathy.

Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble hotsyncing my contacts and memos. I get error message 16397...cannot find what it means anywhere...any ideas?

two problems with email.
with versamail...i am having problems sending email..it simply hangs while it connects to the server, and then says it cannot connect.

with the default mail program...it sends..but does not move the sent email into the sent folder...and it's not in any other folder either...any ideas?

So yeah, I am stoked that Verizon will have this phone, but I am worried about whether or not there will be EVDO on the phone. It would be a waste to buy it without EVDO, since an EVDO capable Treo will be out within a year.

However, I have a feeling Verizon would really highlight an EVDO capable feature on the website if it was on the phone. I was assured by a Verizon sales rep that it would have EVDO (maybe something all new Verizon phones are supposed to sport), but of course, they are not always in the know.

Isn't the Cingular version already upgraded for the high speed networks?

Just got the 650. Love it except for a few minor quirks. One of them being versamail...if i have multiple messages coming in, it will only receive one at a time before getting an error message.
but the more annoying problem is that every once in a while when i make a call or one comes in, the volume defaults (in the earpiece and speaker) to two bars below maximum. this is not the end of the world...but does anyone know a fix to this?

I've seen a commercial 2 times now for a $100 mail-in rebate on the Treo 650 from Verizon. I went into 2 Verizon stores and they didn't know what I was talking about. I then emailed them and again they basically told me I was crazy. The first time I saw this commercial was late at night so I had thought with the responses that I had gotten from Verizon, I was possibly hallucinating or something. Then I caught the end of the commercial yesterday during game 2 of the NBA finals. I yelled as soon as I saw it so a buddy of mine saw it too, but like I said we only caught the end. Has anybody seen this commercial and know the specifics of the rebate/promotion? Or why Verizon won't acknowledge the promotions they run on television commercial...

I went in to the Glendale, CA Galleria store today and asked if this phone has EVDO and was told yes by two sales people. I wonder if they're trained to say "yes it has that" for any question they are asked that they don't know the answer for. That way once the customer finds out after going through the whole process of buying the phone, he will be less likely to walk away. I wonder. 😕

I just downloaded the new Sprint 1.12 update. My bluetooth handset no longer automatically conects to my phone when a call comes in or dialing out. Has anybody else experienced the same problem or is there a new step I need. Thanks

For the people who've used both, which device do you perfer and what are benifets of each?

BlackBerry 7250 vs. Treo 650 (not planning on using over-the-network e-mail).

I WAS USING THE XV6600 AND JUST COULD NOT HANDLE THE SIZE I SWITCHED TO THE 650 AND LOVE THE SIZE AND FEATURE BUT IN THE PAST DAY EVERY TIME I GO FROM DOING SOMETHING TO MESSAGES IT FREEZES AND I HAVE TO RESET THE PHONE. IT REALLY SUCKS. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY HELP WITH THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW 😕

this is a known issue with the 650. you use both your going to have major issues.

palm tells you to not use wireless sync

use versa mail

and we at wdts have no idea how to set up versa mail except tp send you to vtext and set up a account so you can use the smtp server of vzwmail.net

no fix is known for this issue so if your going to buy prepare for a headache

First Call Resolution is such a F'n joke

I am using Tiger on the mac and I can send a vCard from my Address Book to the TREO650 via bluetooth with one exception...The photograph does NOT appear with the Contact on the Treo's Contact...
I have gone as far as reducing the file size to 43K...Any ideas?

I just updated from a Treo 300 to the Treo 650. I'm afraid that in the process, possibly my Treo 300 ringtones overwrote the Treo 650 ringtones. I have no way of confiriming this since I don't know what the original Treo 650 ringtones are. Can someone give me an idea of the ringtones titles that should be in the list? I hate to think that the Treo 650 came with the same boring ringtones as the Treo 300.

IF YOU WANT FREE RING TONES AND HAVE THEM WORK YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE RINGO APPLICATION AND KEY ON LIME WIRE I USED THIS AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY IT WILL STORE ALL MP3 ON THE MEMORY CARD AND NOT TAKE UP SPACE ON YOU PALM. I ALSO CUT THE RINGS DOWN TO A 30 SECOND SNIPET USING ITUNES. HAVE FUN AND ENJOY
