Easty Studio II File Manager Problem
I just purchased Samsung P777 yesterday. I bought this phone for its multifuntional capabilities: 1.3 mp camera, camcorder, and especially MP3 player.
However, after installing the included easy studio file manager, I found out that the software does not recognize my phone.
When I open the file manager, it indicates "offline" on the lower left corner of the screen. I uninstalled and installed the software and also diabled virus programs and rebooted computer time after time, and yet it would keep on saying "offline"
I called samsung customer service and talked to level 2 support tech. However, he could not solve the software problem. He said he would get back to me with solution, but he has not. He kept on saying that it is caused...

after installing the software did u plug in the usb cable and install the driver? if so..try double clickin on the MY PHONE icon in the upper left corner box. also u might wanna try clickin on the refresh button far left in the middle.

To use EasyGPRS you had to have the right com port setting entered into the "settings" tab. Otherwise my computer couldn't find the phone. I had to go into the control panel/device manager to find the com port number and then manually enter it into the settings of EasyGPRS. Different program than easy studio II but maybe that might help. My Easy Studio II found my phone right away.

I have the same problem but I can't locate the the com port. Will you please let me know where exactly I can find this? Or perhaps you can share the same port that worked for you. 😳

the com&port is easy, ok if you have XP you just go to your CONTROL PANEL then go to PERFORMANCE and MAINTENANCE then go to SYSTEMS then hit HARDWARE and it is right there but after that I'm stuck i don't know what to do!! LOL sorry!
