e815 data cable driver
hi, i just got my e815, it's really swell, i had a previous data cable from my old a630, i've checked several sites and know that the cable is compatible with both phones however i don't have the driver to have it work with my e815. i want to put new wallpapers and stuff on the phone, so far by searching this site i have been able to find the driver to use it as a modem only.

last week while on business travel my newest and 3rd e815 screen would blink and drop the call no problem in the 4 or 5 days Just curious if anyone had encountered this problem and the cure thanks

I have BITPIM...now what?
I downloaded bitpim for my wife and I to use for creating ringtones. Works great for her phone (LG9800) for making ringtones and putting them on her phone. But on my phone, it doesn't seem to transfer anything when I try to send the ringtone to it. I tried to manually set my phone as a E815M but it says it doesn't find it. I must be missing something. I just refuse to pay for ringtones!
How do I use "Multimedia Studio"?
I bought the latest version (Motorola 4.0 Phone Tools) and a USB cable off Ebay. It doesn't have the option for the Multimedia Studio listed on the on-screen menu when I connect my phone. I figure it is because of it recognizing it as a Verizon phone. Is there a way for me to get around this and access the Multimedia Studio?

BT headset problem...
OK, sometimes I hit the button on the headset (HS850) and it does the obeymoto thing like it's supposed to, but if the headset has been paired for a few mins, I tap the button and it brings up the redial thing. If I close the headset and re-open it to re-pair it it goes right to obeymoto... Anybody else seen this before?
You can read texts onthe outside of your phone
I dont know if anyone else knows.. but I got a new TXT on my 815 and I accidentaly clicked the volume buttons on the side and it showed me the message. (you have to have the outside of your phone say "NEW MESSAGE")

E815 vs. i580
Aside from the obvious difference in carriers which phone "really" has the better RF reception.
Both phones are supposed to have very good RF (if one can beleive other forum review comments)but I live in a fringe area for both Verizon and Nextel.
I can upgrade my i830 (really sucks RF wise)to an i580 and stay with Nextel or wait 3 more months and switch to Verizon and get the e815.
BUT .. who do you beleive ? 🤣

Moto E815 for U.S. Cellular?
So I see where U.S. Cellular is tentative on carrying the 815. Has anyone heard when they might release it? I know USC is very aggressive in their phone testing... does anyone know if there have been any hold-ups in the 815 passing, etc, etc...

How do I figure out which frequency my phone is using? I'm looking into a wireless cellular repeater since I can get up to 3 bars outside, but nothing inside my house. However, the repeater I'm looking at seems only to be 800mhz.

Durabiltiy of phone over time!!!

Phonebook Backup
How can I backup my phone to my PC and be able to edit on the PC with phone tools. The older version of phone tool would save as a file and could be edited, then uploaded to the phone. I know I can sync with my outlook but my outlook has several hundred numbers more than I want in my phone. Any ideas would be appreciated!!

Unable to Charge
I have had my Moto E815 for about 10 months now and this is the first major problem I've had. My phone was charging fine up until yesterday. Yesterday I plugged it in to charge and it said unable to charge. I changed outlets and even tried different charges and nothing helped. Does anyone now what the problem is and how to fix it?

Charging Problems
It seems that my E815 has problems recharging the battery. I tried different rechargers and tried jiggling the wire. I've tried turning it off and turing it back on. Nothing seems to work.
Sometimes it will take a charge. But other times, it's as if I didn't it in.
I can't tell if I have a bad connection of if it has something to do with the firmware/software.
Any thoughts?
