GSM and CDMA capabilities for 8100
i read on a earlier thread that the 8100 supports both GSM and CMDA. how would this work? do i have to get a european SIM card if i'm traveling there? can anyone confirm this? that would be awesome to be able to use this phone anywhere in the world. i was willing to go with Verizon because of what this phone offered even if i had to renounce my european connections. i currently have T-mobile that allows me to use my U.S. phone in europe.

This is not a world phone, If you need one that offers gsm for europe check the motorola a840.

thanks for the suggestion, but i knew that since the specs only mention CDMA, and that i was willing to give up my current GSM service for the 8100. i only brought this up since an earlier thread that this phone was both GSM and CDMA. anyone in the know can verify this?
...
Just to clarify, when gsm/cdma was metioned it was refering to the Samsung A890 mentioned earlier in the same thread.

I sold the 8100 from its launch to when it was discontinued.
The 8100 is CDMA only.
