Cingular bound....ptt
Ok...I have cingular....I want a ptt phone. The only ptt phones coming out this year are crappy...no camera....wayyyyyyyyyyy to basic. I want the full package.........I hooooooooooope that this will be kodiak ptt for cingular!\

the point of PTT as I see is for more of a business standpoint. It does not matter how much cingular tries to push PTT on families, it is more for the working class people. Those people do not want/are not allowed to have camera phones. I wish they made a z520a without a camera but with PTT instead. It would be Cingular's new flagship phone.

However, we will be pushing it on family plans. Plenty of bros from the hood are down with the PTT from sprint/nextel. No reason why we can't get that customer base.

the lg and samsung are first gen. phones... basically to "test" the networks ability to handle the new service on a mass scale... i'd say they will have a cam phone sometime next summer...
Our sony rep was in my store today, and told us there is a camera ptt phone in the pipeline to be released during the "warm" months of 2006... 🙂 we couldn't get a more precise date out of him...

The Moto V557 is out and that has camera and PTT, I have a feeling Cingular's PTT will do pretty good since it has an expanded coverage area vs. other carrier's PTT (even though it doesn't connect as fast as nextel's yet) and also almost all of the new upcoming Cingular phones will have PTT capability even if the user decides not to subscribe to the feature.

Lex, do some research and read some post under Cingular and the Motorola V557 itself...this phone, although is PTT capable...is NOT (unofortunately) capapable of Cingular's PTT...it was NOT made to utilize the Kodiak PTT software.
