This phone is beatiful. The VGA camera is the best VGA camera I have seen as it takes great pictures. The PTT actually launches the MP3 player which for some reason launches ITunes on my desk top when I plug the mini usb into the phone. But throw out all of you moto chargers as the only connect it has to charge is the mini usb. It is definitely a V330 on roids.

So you can download music from iTunes with this? I thought that was exclusive to Apple products.

I'm not really sure. I haven't quite figured it out yet. One other quirky thing, when I hook up my bluetooth headset it automatically changes the ringer. I haven't figured out why it is doing this just yet.

thats what all motos do with a bt headset, and if it works similar to my v551, you are stuck with that default ringer.

by the way, plug your phone into your computer, and when itunes launches, try and download some music onto it and see how it works, because if i can sync from itunes, i may go to t-mobile and pick one up to use on cingular (pending that its unlocked)

Just curious if anyone determined for sure that this product can be used with iTunes. People keep saying (see reviews) that iTunes opens up when they plug the phone into a computer but no one says that the music downloads to the phone, etc.
If so, I wonder why T-Mobile is not promoting it more. Not sure what would make it less desirable than Cingular's iTunes phone, except that phone was developed by Apple and Motorola, and is more iPodish.

I have not been able to make this work as of yet. 😕

I talked to someone from T-Mobile.. the rep said you needed to burn an MP-3 formatted disc from itunes and then could load that on to the phone... so it is sort of iTunes compatible.. have not tried it yet since I am still debating whether to get the phone.

Two things happen when I plug my v360 into my PC with the USB cable and the phone set to "Memory Card" connection. First Windows recognises the phone and opens a dialog box asking: "What do you want Windows to do?" (In Win XP). I choose "Open folder to view files". At the same time this is happening, in the background (even without clicking on the dialog box that Windows XP opens) iTunes launches and opens up however you do not ever see the v360 listed on the left hand side of iTunes where it shows "Source" like where your iPod normally would be (so there is no way to drag and drop songs from iTunes into the v360). I don't think this phone is iTunes compatible but for some strange reason iTunes recognises that it is an mp3 compatible device....

I finally got mine and took it back (see review for more details). It could have been I just got a lemon but seemed like way too much on the phone was not working (bluetooth, edge, AIM) and the manual did not give much of a clue about how to use other features (e.g., music player). Also, I found the buttons a little hard to press, although that was a very minor factor in my return. Finally, it always bothered me that the phone was domestic triband rather than global quad band but I knew that going in.
By contrast, I found the v330 I had simple to use and wound up getting a v3 razr which also proved to be simple to use and working fine.
My most significant observation from all this is that T-Mobile customer service is okay, but the ...
