LG V VX-9800
A few questions before purchasing
My phone contract ends in a few weeks, and I either plan to buy the vx9800 or the vx9900. My main question is, what happens when someone sends you a text message or leaves a message on your phone? With my current phone, it makes a very loud and irritating beeping noise even if the phone is on silent.
Also, which of the two phones should I try to get? If I wait too long, then Verizon stores may stop selling the vx9800, but they may also decrease the price because the vx9900 will be out.

You can set the 9800 to alert you of incoming text, voice, or email messages any way you want. You can use a ringtone, vibrate only, or simple beeps.
As I just posted on someone else's message, most people's biggest hangup with the 9800 was it's size. LG has addressed that with the 9900. You will get everything in the 9800 and then some. Hope this helps.
