Motorola L2

Can you connect to more than 1 Bluetooth device simlutaneously? I bought a V197 to connect to my PDA (Palm) dialer. Unfortunately I've found out when connected to my Bluetooth headset I can not connect to my dialer - only 1 device at a time. Are there any phones that will connect to more than 1 device at a time?

When i connect my phone via usb to the computer it powers it on and is functioning but will not charge it up. What do i need to charge the phone. According to motorola.com you can...

"Add “juice” to your mobile’s battery through your laptop – no travel charger needed – simply plug in the optional accessory USB cable to your computer and the other end into the Mini-USB port on the phone and watch it charge."

... Apparently it's not that easy.

I have the Motorola H700 Bluetooth earpiece connected to my L2 phone. However when it rings with earpiece connected I don't hear my custom MP3 assigned ringtones. It defaults to a standard ring-ring style ringtone... Does anybody know how to correct this? Ringtones work great with cord type earpiece connected through mini USB port, but not with wireless earpiece.

Does anyone know how to configure the L2 using Cingular for Dial-Up Networking? I have been able to configure the tethered (USB) and Bluetooth interfaces to dial the L2, but when the connection is made the L2 hangs up on the call. One weird message came up on the L2 Display, words to the effect, 'Not Allowed'.

Any help is appreciated...

I got the data cable & software in the mail yesterday, but when I connected the phone and went through the setup, the L2 was not recognized. This is after updates were downloaded. Even when I attempted to manually add the device, it's not found in the list. Only the L6 & L7 were listed. 😡

Anyone have any tips on this procedure? The computer detects the connection, but no recognition within MPT software.

Does anyone know if one can use a wire type ear bud with this phone? If it does
accommodate a wire type ear bud any reports on how well works? Volume, Clarity, ETC..

I have purchased a Motorola L2 and a Moto H350 Bluetooth headset. When I pair them they work one time. When one or both is turned off and then back on they are no longer paired. Is the a result of the Moto L2 having Bluetooth Ver. 1.2 and the Mot H350 having Bluetooth Ver. 2.0. If the is the case can I upgrade the L2 to Bluetooth ver. 2.0???

If not is there a different setup to use on the phone???

Has anyone updated the firmware on the L2?

now everyone hoo owns an L2 nos that the screen is not the best, is kinda small and does not support skins!!! well i found out that the L2 can support skins, they just didnt give you the option of skins. if u press down the left or right button down at the main screen and hold it, you can see that the pushed look of the button is actually the regular look of the skin moto. so if it can support moto y not others? mabe someone will write a program to tweak that in the near future.

Don't buy this phone. It is not good quality. Most free phones suck and this one is no exception.

Will the L2 accept audio files via bluetooth to create your own Ringtones or do you have to purchase the Phone tools from Motorola?

My wife just switched to the L2 on Cingular. I am thinking of switching but I need the Phone Tools functionality to link my contacts. The Motorola Phone Tools only work with Windows. Are there tools for the MAC?

I am currently with cingular and am looking to get a new cell phone. I have the Sony Ericsson T69 and I would never recommend this phone to anyone. The reception is so bad I have never had a conversation without the call sropping several times.

I am going to decide between the Samsung D807, Motorola L2, sony ericsson W600i or the Nokia 6030.

I had a couple of ques about this phone-
If one dials with the keypad can we slide the phone shut and keep talking?
Also can one access the phonebook without opening the keypad?
Can we use any mp3 song as a ringer or do we have to buy them from cingular?
How is the reception of this pone?
Does it have a fm radio?

Sorry too many ques but I really cannot decide on a phone.

The specifications on the Cingular site list this as a Quad band. But Letstalk offers this for Cingular and says its a Tri band.

Searching the web review sites shows either / both descriptions in many places and Motorola says the phone is quad, but different regions may offer different set ups.

I travel globally on business and need the quad, if someone knows the truth here I would appreciate it.

I noticed theres a L2 L6 and L7,..but what happned to the L1 L3 L4 and L5 ??

FYI,, if you experience dust or debris under the screen on your L2, L6, L7, or V3, it is can be warrantied through Cingular.
