Possible Sprint phone?

Listed on the samsung company website is the users guide to the new SGH-i300. Billed next to the user guide, is the name of none other than Sprint. Now I work for the aforementioned provider and haven't heard anything about the phone. Listed as a GSM tri-band phone, the sprint branding on the users guide makes me think. Sprint is currently a CDMA format. Is Sprint going to the new 3G format or breaking into the GSM market? I guess we'll wait and see what happens!

This is not going to be a US phone.

Just like you I was puzzled on who was going to get this.

Mobile Mag says it is going to be shipped to Europe 😢

Question about this phone...

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am interested in this phone and my provider is T-Mobile. I will be going to Sprint in March due to a family shared plan. Anyways, I doubt Sprint will get this phone, but is it possible to get this phone unlocked and still use it with Sprint being the provider? Thanks in advanced for reading this. 🙂

Samsung - Shameful D307

Am I the only one who thinks the Samsung D307 is a huge step backwards? Samsung is known for making sharp phones with visual appeal - the D307, in my opinion, is a disgrace to my eyes. I wouldn't own that phone for anything - ug.

😡 Disappointed !!!

What the ROKR should've been!!!

This phone is great. Its like an IPOD that can make calls what the hell else could someone need. I always though that Cingular and iTunes should've worked with Samsung on their phone because they are known for innovation, style, and everything HOT!! Also, why the hell did the ROKR have such a low internal storage what the hell is that about and why is their a cap on the amount of phones that can be downloaded which actually explains the low storage. Also, Motorola completely SUCKS. They think with in the box (most of the time the v70, and V3 surprised me)and have alot of basic features. All in all, Samsung, like this phone, RULES!!!!!!!!

True candy bar...

I'm very enamored of the true candy bar design...no swiveling, swinging, flipping or other such nonsense. Nice!

Question for the qurus

When u guys previewed this phone not too long ago, there was a complaint about that scroll wheel not being able to scroll through pages and pages, having to rely on scrolling plus soft keys (something like that). Do you think Sammy has addressed that?

Sick!

wow...I was thinking of either the D720 or D600 to replace my D500, but it looks like a new contender for the belt has stepped up! I'm kinda tired of the slide funtion, and this candy bar style is something I've been missing since my Nokia 6600. 3Gs? Sick! Plus, I like Windows phones. I'm on board

CCD Camera Phones

Were there any camera phones that use a CCD sensor rather than a CMOS?

All the megapixels in the world done mean a thing if the lens and the sensor are not high quality.

If you compare the MPX220 1.3 mp CMOS camera to the SE S710A 1.3 mp CCD camera there is no comparison.

Aside from the s710a are any other manufacturers planing on putting together a phone with a CCD camera to compete with the s710a?

The reason I ask is that I like all the features on the Sony-ericsson, but I do not like their interface. I may stand alone on this fact but I prefer the motorola interface, especially when it comes to their predictive text input and various menu navigation.

I am trying out the s710a for a few days and I have decided they...

I think what is missing

That should have been reported were the small upstart companies.

I talked to some of the manufacturer reps and more than a few of them were impressed with the design and build qualities of some of the smaller Chinese and Korean venture groups.

One group that was really impressive at the show was NewGen with their really cool designs.

Under an inform discussion in the eating area, some of the these product managers feel that in the next 10 years, some of them (like Hop On, Bird, New Gen, Telson) maybe in the top 10 market and some of the older stalwarts in the world markets (like Alcatel, Philips, Siemens and Mitsubishi) may pull out as phones becomes total commodity items.

Is there any news on the Samsung i730? Will it be Verizon? When might it be available? Also, any hints if the WIFI portion will be enabled?
