LG VX-5200 / 6200

I have a Lgvx3200 usb data cable and a Lg vx5200 phone....what drivers and software do i need to download to get bitpim to recognize it?

I was recently notified by a Bell representative that the LG 6200 had a defect in receiving photos. He stated he heard about it months ago, so he phoned the head office and inquired. They said they are only giving a credit of $250 when you sign a new three year contract for the problem. I believe, tell me if I am wrong if there is a defect then Bell or LG should have notified there customers about it. I believe they should replace the phones with new ones, since the one you signed the contract with was defective. When you buy something you expect it to work they way they tell it will work, if not rectify the problem but not by saying if you sign with us again for three years then we will fix your problem. So, I have an lg vx-5200 Verizon phone. My LG has won't charge any more. You know the goldie things or chip of where you plug the adapter to? Well a couple of them broken off. I was just curious if any LG users have tried repairing this themselves? Is it easy? Should I do it? I have a newer LG phone, and am thinking of putting that chip into this cell phone.

i hate the spaker you cant close the phone and talk and you cant walk a long distance away from the phone and talk it sucks but other wise the phone is great. but i also hate that the phone is kinda ugly srry but it is.. 🤭

does anyone know if there is a way to disable the side camera key? this phone absolutely loves to take pictures of my pocket and i end up just deleting all photos whether i wanted to keep them or not because it takes forever to delete 80+ photos.

Hey I have to real complains about this phone and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problems:

1) It RINGS when on vibrate! I put it on vibrate, and it even has the little vibrate symbol on the front LCD, and yet it will still ring while in class/church/anywhere else that i need it to be silent.

2) I get a ton of dropped calls, especially in my house... i will be talking in my basement or somewhere else and all of a sudden "then call was lost!" comes up....

anyone else experience these problems with this phone?

Version 05 software for the LG5200 has been approved by VZW. No details on what is changed at this time.

Just got the VX 5200. I'm new to cell phones. Vowed not to have one, but got as gift. So i am not account holder but am wanting to know if i can download games to PC then load on phone via usb connection. Paying for myself (PayPal or credit card) so does not get charged to phone bill of accnt. holder

The VX-5200 sells well because it's cheap, but it really isn't that great of a phone. I gave it a mediocre review based on one a friend owned, but as time goes on, I see more and more problems with it. Some of them ring on silent, they're rather flimsy, and the buttons wear out very quickly. The only midrange phones worth looking at are the Motorola V325 and perhaps the LG VX-5300.

When you flip open the 5200, the outer LCD displays the verizon logo. I tried going to ERI banner and turning that off but that just turns the verzion banner off for the main LCD. Is there any way to turn off the outer banner and make it display the time or something?

I can not get the speaker volume high enough to hear over the noise of the vehicle. Is anybody else having this trouble? Is there a fix?

Hey. Just swinging by for some help. I just got an lg vx5200 and well, it doesn't come with too many ringtones. So I sent myself one from my computer. The phone recieves it just find, but it saves the recording under "My Sounds" instead of "My Ringtones" and from the "My Sounds" list, I can't set it as my ringtone. Is there anyway to be able to recieve an audio file and save it under ringtones instead of sounds? Thanks a bunch guys.

Does anyone know where I can get a cord for the pc and software for 5200? Tried handset manager for 6100 but will not send to phone, bitpim doesn't read either? 😢

I want to purchase this phone as well, and I'm wondering if it has Ringer ID... I saw on a website that it doesn't and that's a key feature for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi all. I want to purchase this phone but I have one question. Someone wrote in a review (on another less reliable site) that this phone does not display the stored name on the front display. Instead, they said it displays the phone number only. This does not sound right at all. Can anyone tell me what the real "scoop" is?? Thanks!

Sometimes when my phone is on vibrate only or silence all, it will ring anyway. Not all the time, just at random. Has anyone else had this problem???
