a970 - turn keypad on all the time

Does any one know if you can turn the keypad on all the time. Did not find the option in the backlight menu. This new VW UI is really bad.

Did you turn the backlight on all the time? That's what I tried today, but this is my first day with the phone. I'm hoping it stays on through a call....

You do realize that if you keep your keypad light on all the time, you will drain your battery quicker, right?

here's a great trick...you're on a call..the screen goes black(to save battery power)....press the speaker button...the complete diesplay will now stay lit the whole time....press it again to turn on the speaker......
