Blank Screen

When my phone is closed the screen goes blank. I'm used to at least seeing the time, but there is nothing. Is that just the way it is? Is there a setting to change? I tried using a screen saver but that goes off when the backlight goes off. TIA

Go to the display settings menu and change the screensaver to what looks like the image of 12:00 or in list mode it is called "floating time". it will still go blank after the backlight times out though...sorry.
