Kyocera Slider KX5B USB Driver
I bought a Kyocera Slider KX5B a few weeks ago and bought a generic USB cable off Ebay. Here it is:

How to add mp3 music
Hi just bought this phone on Ebay and it didnt come with any instructions. can you all please help me . how do you add songs?

Mp3 crashing my phone.
I have a 1gb card in it with 28 songs in it. I can usually play one song but when I try to go to the 2nd it crashes and the only way to restart is to take out the batery and put it back in.
Question before buying
I'm thinking of buying this phone + the data cable for Virgin Mobile.
I already have MPT purchased and everything from a previous phone purchase.
Are there any issues regarding this phone with the Mobile Phone Tools program? When I originally purchased the software, it was intended for a phone that claimed to support it only I found out that Alltel had blocked some of the services in the phone and I couldn't use the ringtone studio or anything.
Has Virgin Mobile blocked anything in the Slider Sonic to prevent picture and music transfers?

KX 5 Music Player Mess Up
I talked with a US Cellular tech today and he educated me that the KX 5 has a problem reading any memory card over 512mb and that this is a possible cause to the phones resetting when you try to access your music. Dont know if this helps anyone, but thats what I have to pass along. He asked me to suggest to my customer to go with the 512 and make sure its not overloaded
Buying an unlocked phone
i am looking at this phone on Ebay...and it is made by alltel who is my provider...but...the phone is unlocked...so like...will like Txt'ing all the other features such as buying ring tones work?

Blank Screen
When my phone is closed the screen goes blank. I'm used to at least seeing the time, but there is nothing. Is that just the way it is? Is there a setting to change? I tried using a screen saver but that goes off when the backlight goes off. TIA

I have the Kyocera Slider remix and I can not hear out of my ear piece. The caller can hear me but I can't hear them. I have to use my speaker phone to talk on the phone. THis is actually my daughters phone and she did not get insurance on the phone when she bought it and "cricket" will not add insurance after you buy the phone. I took it to a cell phone repair store but they can not find the part for the phone. Can anyone help!!! All I need is the part ( ear mic or ear speaker) thanks

Bluetooth Capabilities
Is there a way to change the BT settings to enable it to receive pics/mp3's from a BT capable laptop? I am able to bond it with the laptop to send from the phone to the laptop, but not from the laptop to the phone. Any help would be great.

I want to use multiple memory cards for my Virgin Mobile Kyocera Slider Sonic. The problem is that it auto-formats (reformats) the card each time it's inserted - wiping out all the stored information on it.

The factory programmed down key leads to "Recent Calls".
Up key is the feature selection thingy.
Right key is Voice memo.
Left key is easyedge.
I HATE THESE DEFAULT SETTINGS. Does anyone know out there know how to chang things up?
The manual doesn't talk about it. And the US Cell reps I spoke with didn't have a clue either.

WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK...Although this phone has one of the nicest paint jobs, it does not add up" COMMON' PEOPLE ITS A PHONE NOT A CAR...THIS PHONE JUST DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE WITH ALL THE OTHER OFFERINGS OUT THERE LIKE LG, MOTO OR SAMSUNG, THAT'S IF WANT YOU WANT A REAL PHONE. 🙄

Where can I get the software to talk to my pc for this phone?
I just bought the phone now I need to know where's the best place to get the software to instal the drivers and what all do I need to download the mp3 and pull pics and other data off the phone?
