Motorola i850 / i855

I just bought a Motorola i850 from Nextel, and all of a sudden out of the blue the phone will only show a white screen that says "FLASHStrap, bad signature, ready to program" and then it gives a bunch of letters and number.

How do I fix this? Or is there a way that I can program it...

Is this phone running the cellular system on GSM or exclusively IDEN?

A little help everyone...

I am trying to transfer an .mp3 ringtone I created from my razr phone to my friends i850. I can send the ringtone via a multimedia file transfer and my friend can receive the file on his i850. The problem is that my friend can't apply the .mp3 as a ringtone. He can save the .mp3 to his phone, but there isn't an option to apply the .mp3 as a ringtone. Does anyone have a workaround for this problem?

i picked up my I850 2 days ago. i really like it..i used to have the i830.the i830 was to small for me...the buttons where to small and having the phone in my pocket always made me nervouse..if i bumped into sometghing it would dent the phone. the only real compliants i have about the i850 are the long delays that come between the external and internal displays when recieving a call. the battery isnt the greatest either but i have been with nextel for awhile and they are known for bad battery life so i can deal with that. anyone else notice any wierd delays when going through the menu or recieving calls?

does anyone know how to ERASE this account information in order of NO TO APPEAR as predictive text?

Just want to share it with you. I purchase a mobile phone management tool from one of the COMPUSA stores, the package looks great (just like one of Sony's software package), and the price is reasonable (compare to other similar products in the market). this is my 5th Motorola Nextel Phone in 4 years. Coming from the I730 to the I850 was a nice change. I love the sleek look vs. the silver look of the I730. The screen is clear and crisp. I also like the Photo/Caller ID so that I can see who is calling me with out any struggle while driving. The camera is good quality, not digital, but good enough for a phone. Quick and easy to use zoom options as well. I purchased the body glove along with my phone as I have always done in the past. So scratching is a non-issue. Worth the $$$ to invest in .

Is that a spotlight or just a mirror next to the camera lens? I have seen conflicting reports on the net and would like to hear from someone who actually has a i850.

Ok...I knew about the i850 a while ago...what's the i855, and what's the differences between the two???

How the hell can i get my pictures and ring tones transferred to my new 850??

i have been watching , wating , hoping , that a phone would be introduced on Nextel that would give me everything that i've been looking for in a phone and nothing that i don't and in a package that i like
i think i may definitely be moving to Nextel when my sprint contract expires SIMPLY BECAUSE of this phone right here

Can you hook this phone up to a usb cable and transfer photos to your computer?

I have had this phone 4 day's and it is nice looking and very easy to use..

The down side is the battery really seems to go down quickly.

I have had the 860 and the 730 the battery life on this one compared to those is terrible..

Other then that I enjoy it.

I would like to know is it only my phone that is messing up when i use the phone the backlight stays on is it normal i try changing the backlight but it only goes off for only 30 seconds when not in use

Where did you get the pics of this phone in a silver color? Does this phone come intwo colors? I really like this color better than the color of the one on Nextel's website.

Not to innovative or original of a design, actuall y quite backwards if you ask me. I liked the i830/i860 look myself.

Looks like the exact colors/clamshell from the i95, and the camera lens config of the v600.

It has been there since Friday. 😉

A Nextel rep told me yesterday the i850 would be out next week. No offense, but I'll believe it when I see it. The spec sheet says no USB, so I was wondering how the phone accomplishes PC-Sync. Does anybody have an idea about that one?
