Sync songs with just a USB cable?
I have access to a wholesale catalog and can but the USB cable for my a950 phone for just $5.49.
My question is can I use this to sync music to my phone or do I need to buy the Music Essentials disk & cable anyways in order to get drivers?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that would be fine. The Music Essentials kit included the disk to install the cable drivers and Windows Media Player 10, but if the cable comes with software to install the drivers and you already have WMP 10, then you should be fine.

I'm not sure but I think the cable is all by itself, without the drivers. Atleast that is what I see in the photo.
