Blue Tooth Issues
I just recently purchased the 7130e after many months of anticpation. I also purchased some acc. from the blackberry.com site of which one was the jabra 250v bluetooth headset. I recevied a lot of static on the line. Thinking it was a bad headset I strolled down to the local store and picked up a new one. Same issue. Tech support could only tell me how to reset the headset and any furhter tech support would need to be done through jabra. A call to them and they had no resolve. Thinking that the issue may be with the phone I purchased a Plantroncis headset. No static and good to go. So incase you are thinking Jabra 250v. I don't recommend with teh 7130e... they just don't work.

Just to follow up the Plantronics Voyager 510 works great with the 7130e bluetooth setup.

Great review on the BB 7130e.
I have ordered the Voyager 510 and will order the BB next week.
Question:
How far away from the phone can you get with the headset without call degradation?
Thanks.

they say about 30 feet, but usually about 10 ft you get some static

Pretty standard for real life usage. Thats about what I get on average with my Jabra BT500 on my LG8100.

Most bluetooth devices have a range of 30 feet, the Voyager lists 33 feet, but it will really depend on whether you have line of sight for the device or not. If your phone is in a briefcase or purse or if your phone is upstairs, downstairs, etc., this will affect how far you can be from your phone before you experience static on a bluetooth device.

I just recieved my Plantronics Discovery 640 ($89.99 @ J&R - List is $150) This headset is AMAZING!!! I had almost given up on BT headsets and was only prompted to try again because this Blackberry is like holding a deck of cards to your face.
The headset works perfect with the 7130. I did manage to get a little farther than 30ft before static started, and this was through walls!
I highly recommend the Discovery 640 for any 7130 users.
