Greeting all:

Would it be recommend getting an unlock, new Razor V3c and activating with Verizon Wireless?
I'm one of those who got the v3c in December ( .02 version) but I'm afraid to Flash the phone with Alltel firmware. I've just about had it with this Verizon User interface and those red bars and would like full bluetooth access on my phone. I;m thinking of getting an un-branded Razor CDMA. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciate.

Even if you buy it you can't use it on Verizon. When a manufacturer makes phones for Verizon all of the ESN's go in a data base. If the ESN is not in the data base the system won't recognize your phone.

I've heard that flashing the phone with Alltel's software fixes the UI, but I've never actually seen one.

Alltel is the only way to go. my .02 flashed .04 V3c is hacked with all the goodies to date and i still would rather have the Alltel UI. gonna do it this week.

Ok, I was able to do the ESN change on one Razor V3c Unlocked, unbranded phone and it works great, in fact I have better signal bars than my prior V3c from Verizon. Now, I was to from a Verizon tech that in order for me to get my Get It Now, Vcast working again, I would need to change the software to the current .04.

How true is this? Is there another way around this becuase I'm afraid I'll end up keeping that Verizon UI and those red bars again.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
