perfect for a child with disabilities
🙂 Our oldest child is almost 13 years old and like most kiddos in junior high she wants a cell phone. She has multiple learning disabilities and we felt it would make her/us feel more secure if she could contact us whenever she needed to.
I let her have my old phone when I traded up, but we soon realized that while she wants/needs a cell phone it was too confusing for her to try to reach us;she dialed her grandparents, my closest friend, her school, but not us!!this totally freaked her out.
So, needless to say we are thrilled about the new phone and best of all our child is excited plus she likes the idea of having a shrek phone that is easy for her to understand. It is very important for kiddos with disabilities to have the "normal" ...

My daycare providers son is Autistic. He wanders out of the house and yard when the gate isn't locked. This could be a great feature for her 10 year old Autistic son. He is smart enough to use the phone and if he wore it around his neck, he would have it with him at all times.

😁 Well we just got the phone, they said she was the first in san antonio!!! She is thrilled!!! It comes with 3 different colored wrist lanyards and 3 colored caribeners, a postcard to send to a friend and stickers. It also comes with a parents user guide and a childrens user guide which is VERY easy to understand...She is almost 13 but is cognatively about 7 and she feels awesome because she has it mastered.
A few things to note: you can only program 4 numbers, but if you want to change the emergency button to something other than 911 you can push it to 5 numbers(we are keeping the 911 function). You are not able to set up a ring back tone and there is no voicemail feature(it just rings until answered or caller gives up). It comes wit...
