Using a V190 in Italy
I bought a Cingular-packaged "Pay as You Go" Motorola V190 here in the U.S. last week and have activated the service.
We're going to Italy next week. Will it be possible for me to just remove the Cingular SIM that's in the phone and replace it with a SIM I buy over there for use while we're in Italy?
From what I can see, the biggest question I have is whether my phone is "unlocked," meaning I'm free to use any SIM I want to use. If it's not unlocked already, what do I need to do to unlock it (assuming it's possible for me to do that)?
Thanks for any help that anybody can provide.

yeah, i have a v190 and i tried putting a t-mobile sim card but it said insert pin so it's locked. You could unlock it if you want to use another sim.

The phone is locked to Cingular (now AT&T Wireless) and in order to use a SIM card in Italy, you have to have the phone unlocked first, but you have to meet certain criteria for AT&T to give you the unlock code.
