Outlook E-Mail problems...
JINXMar 14, 2007, 8:50 PM
Okay, so I've had my 6700 for around a year now. I know how to do and/or use just about everything out there. However, I still don't understand the Outlook E-Mail. When I try to E-Mail someone from that it says "From: (Outlook E-Mail)
To: -Whoever I Put In-
When I hit send it just goes back to it's main page, and nothing is sent. I can't receive anything either.
I'd really like to have e-mail on my 6700 due to work + going back to school.
Any help would be appreciated.

I now realize that I have to set up an account to use this feature. Sorry. I'm an idiot. Problem is...I have no clue how to do that. I have an e-mail account through my college, and it's the only one I use. How do I set up the server info and all that crap?!

Is your College account a POP3 account....If so, you have to set up a new account under Tools in your 6700 mail program and use your College server info (user id and password) for your incoming mail. For your outgoing mail, you'll use the evdo info from Sprint or Verizon. I have Verizon and for the outgoing server info, I use: smtp.vzwmail.net....then under the Outgoing Settings, I use the info provided by Verizon (userid is "my cellphone number"@vzwmail.net and my password is the one I set up with Verizon).

JINX :: What you said is true. Once you type up and email to someone and hit send, it goes into your OUTBOX. If you click on MENU and select SEND/RCV that is when the phone will actually connect to the network and send/rcv mail...
