Ok is it just me or does this phone sound kick @ss... I mean yeah it has all the features anyone would want... I really really really want to get it but...

First PDA phone with Windows Mobile 5.0 right? That could cause some troubles... If i'm not wrong

Also first phone at all that has EVDO for sprint, Did they get it right the first time? Can we expect that there wont be 900 bugs from the EVDO and WM5... I mean I really want to hear, "this phone is going to be awesome, I have it and it works perfect", if so i'm calling sprint and ordering it right now... But I dont know if that could be true... Can we really expect it to be that good??

Besides that, does the Screen of this phone, is it equal, smaller or great then the Treo 650 and ...

You have to learn to be smart about these things. Never just go out and buy something. Wait a few weeks until the reviews have come it.

What's the rush?

But melgross, without these impulse buyers... how would we get those reviews for us people who wait for them? 😁

I meant *real* reviews. Done by those best equipped to do them, rather than the "Oh God, I gotta get it right now and do a review, 'cause, well, I just gotta." types of reviews.

you know what I mean.🙂

I am new to the Scoop and here is my review which i postes onthe review section as well I have only had it for 24 hrs:

So far this phone Rocks! has a very nice form factor and has every thing you need for and on the go person. EV-DO is such a nice thing to have for browsing on this thing. Adding the WIFI is even better i was able to use it at work and at home. Keyboard is a lot easier to use than other devices I have had in the past. Screen is very nice and clear. I was able to pair a Jabra headset and it works very well so far. This by far is Sprint's best device for the Mobile User!

My only complaint is that they need a smart-phone that will do Ready-Link. I am also having trouble getting the WIFI to work with WPA. Other than that ...

Thanks Majikhat,

After reading yours and the other recent review, I'm wondering what is required to make a call. I can't find any online photos showing numbers on the screen and am wondering how you find a contact, select a number, and dial without opening the slide.

Well been using it a little more today and the key pad is like PPC-6600 which is a touch screen type key pad. This works ok but it still seems a little clumsy. Using the buttons and use the the joystick on the front to get to your contacts to call someone works pretty well. I can see once you get used to it you could be very fast at getting to contacts and dialing numbers. Just like anything new you kind of got to get used to it.

her is a link to the Sprint info on the phone

This doesn't answer your question exactly but this pic from PhoneScoop's CTIA Fall 2005 article that might help you get an idea of the size of the 3 devices.

The new Treo 700w in that picture will have a screen of 240 x 240 pixels and both the i730 and PPC-6700 are 320 x 240 pixels. The Treo 650 which is almost the same size as the Treo 700 has a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. Keep in mind that the Treo 650's screen looks smaller than the i730 and PPC...
