Both of them are wrong since mine only lasts 2-3 hours of NON talk time. Granted mine is new and has only been in use for a few days... but I have to bring my house charger with me EVERYWHERE I go. Since I cannot find a car charger... I had to buy a converter for my truck so that I can run the house charger in my truck. This thing eats the battery like crazy. I truly don't know how long the talk time would be because I have yet to get a good enough signal to use the phone for a long period of time. ☹️

I saw another post indicating that this phone works with most standard chargers that fit the slot. I was hoping that someone can confirm this and identify the model of any such car charger they have bought.

Also...

I just saw a posting on batteries that run on methanol and are refillable at:

I can only hope this or a similar "quick refill" fuel cell technology comes along very soon for phones like this one.

2 hours is 2 short for most of my companies meetings, let alone a day on the road.

Keep in mind that anyone with this phone (even those few who buy the extended batteries once available) will still have limited battery life.. This phones has multiple antenas... WIFI, BlueTooth, EVDO, IR plus the CDMA... All of these will eat power quicker than a fat kid in a free candy convention.... I keep my wifi and blue tooth on all the time because I have a wireless network in my home and work on both of these signals.. My battery on it's overnight charge will only make it half a day with out having to be charged again... Plus this phones features are many... BIG screen, back light... Programs keep working and eat up battery life too.. Like Skype, MSN messenger ect.. ect...

Just take the bad with the good... And buy the car charger once it comes out... and maybe an extra home charger too... uh, an extra battery wouldn't hurt... Hell, if you can afford this phone and appreciate the things it can do.. Get all the accessories too...

Darion, I'd prefer to have a slim fuel cell sized like the standard battery that could regularly be refilled rather than an oversized extended life battery. Is this technology anything you are familiar with?

Also, wanted to confirm that if the battery does die, no contacts or other information are lost on this phone? Is this correct?

Thanks,

Brian

I'm no chemist or anything but isn't that fluid flamable? Even if it isn't would you want to run the risk of getting liquid damage on your near half a grand phone? I wouldn't.. I'd rather stick with oem stuff.. As far as the memory.. There was another post about that.. Plus it was on Microsofts web site as far as reviews on this phone.. The memory is Non V... Meaning that if your battery goes dead (Happened to me alot with the 6600) you won't loose your contacts or data... It is a seperate memory dedicated for such risks...

SO does that mean the 200 hours of stand-by on MobileBurn is a little unexpected:
