PPC 6700 and Good Technology???
Okay. So my employer uses Good technology on the Corporate side. So, I'm stuck with using something that Good supports if I want that instantaneous access to email. I can't find this phone on the Good website. I found the 6600 (audiovox...is that the precursor to this one???) But I guess since this is MS 5.0, it's not supported by Good. Does anyone know if this is true or false?
Also, if I do not use a phone that uses Good technology, I have a stupid question: how do I get my email from our MS Exchange Corporate account?
I sincerely appreciate any advice. I HATE MY TREO 600 and soooo want a new phone. Soon!!!
Thanks!!!

the 6700 does support good tech I would guess. sprint's 6700 comes with good technology preloaded on the device..I wouldnt see it not working. As for exchange email...I know verizon has wireless sync PC monitor that runs in the background of your work computer and pushes email from your outlook to your phone ..but not sure how sprint would do it.
Sprint v...Good tech on phone.
Verizon v ..Wireless sync PC monitor.
PS if sprints 6700 works with good tech ..verizon's would. WM 5.0 is WM 5.0

There is an ActiveSync download from Microsoft that allows the pda to sync directly with Exchange. You do not need the wireless sync monitor. You do need your corporate IT to configure the Exchange web site to allow/support this. In particular, you need it set up for https and you need to have the certificate installed on your pda.

I checked before buying my 6700 and our corporate IT people were told by Good that support for the 6700 was coming in Mid January. I know their web site doesn't list the 6700...but according to Good will be very shortly?

If I set my VX6700 up to sync with Exchange, will I have access to all of my personal Outlook folders etc. Will I be able to file my mail in these folders, as if I was on a laptop? Also, will that Exchange sync also sync my calendars and contacts, or just email. When I hook the handheld up to my computer, will that syncing cause any problems with the exchange syncing?

Sorry for what might seem like a seriously stupid question but I'm at my wits end with this issue, it's also irritating that Sprint offers no support for anything to with anything they consider a Microsoft related issue and Microsoft offers no support unless you're willing to be "support screwed" at $35 per incident (they barely have any info on 5.0 and it surprises me they offer no support unlike Blackberry who go out of their way to support their products). I am fairly adept at this stuff having set up dozens of networks but I am having one hell of a time setting up a WiFi connection to my home Linksys WiFi router (haven't tried ad-hock. The instructions in the Sprint manual and at Microsoft are very ambiguous to say the least. It seems no...

The 6700 can be loaded to work with GoodLink. I set mine up over the weekend and everything works fine. Email is constantly pushed to your phone or you can set it up in the "Work Off Line" mode. In this mode you can read & compose email; when sent it sits in you outbox until you choose to manually send & receive and then the mail go to your sent folder...then GoodLink reverts automatically to work offine mode.
When connected your Inbox, Sent Items, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks are continuously synced. GoodLink takes WM5's Pocket Outlook Contacts & Calendar and creates it's own version.
The GoodLink version of Contacts does not support Contact Categories. I have a lot of Contact Categories, so sometimes I will open the Pocket Out...
