real quick... anyone know where I can get a new volume switch/button/knob!? yea, i dropped the xv6700 at a wedding and didn't even notice it was gone. Verizon says i have to send it in and get a refurbished one with the stupid insurance program. This was at the Verizon certified repair shop. He also noticed that the slide up display was started to pull away from the keyboard a little.

There is post with 2 very important reg hacks. One for speed and another for wifi and phone at the same time. DO THOSE NOW! and soft reset after each.
everyone says they have a custome smtp port that their mail server uses and there is no place to input that setting... just add :po...

Question, I had about 1500 contacts in mine and when I put the contacts list in "company view", the screen would freeze and then slow down for about a minute or two and then would work. When I changed it to "name vie" it scrolled immediately and fast. Any advise?

Same thing seems to happen in file explorer. Sorts alphabetically fine, but slows way down if you sort by file type. Weird.

I successfully added voice command but am annoyed at the ringtone volume decreasing so the pretty voice can come in the background and tell me the name of the person who is calling. How can I disable this so it will not announce callers and just play the ringtone I designate for the caller???

Ok ... cool post, with good references.I have a couple of questions since you seem to have used the phone extensively.
1- I tried installing Pocket Informant, and even though it installed correctly, all my contacts and calendar items stopped appearing, even though they were still there (in the background... I still got my reminders)... but I couldn't see anything... any idea on what's happening , or why?
2- What versions of these software packages are you using? I know most of them aren't available for WM5 yet, and some of them can do bad things to your OS if you install them.
3- How's the picture quality on your camera? ... mine seems like it has a completely open aperture, and all my pictures, even with the smallest light show u...
