2ND QUARTER UPGRADE
I JUST SAW THE VZW 2ND QUARTER UPGRADE FOR THE 6700 AND IT WILL INCLUDE VOICE DIAL, KEY LOCK, AND SPEEDS UP THE RESPONSE TIME,SO THAT THE EDIT IS NOT NECESSARY. THEY MAY BE OTHER IMPROVEMENTS THESE ARE JUST THE ONES, I ASKED ABOUT.

Is it going to allow voice dial via a bluetooth headset? By which I mean a completely hands-free voice dial? That is the only reason for which I'm waiting for the Q instead of getting this thing.

SPRINT already has this upgrade out. It takes your radio to version 1.12.00, ROM version 2.06.00 WWE. This does NOT enable voice dial for Bluetooth. You can setup voice tags for each contact and then recall it using "voice dial". You can not only setup tags for contacts, you can also setup a voice tag for most options on the device (like to goto the messaging menu, the notepad etc etc.). There is a third party software that enables voice dial via BT headset. But it requires a registry hack 🙂

The Microsoft Voice Command is better I think. You can do most things thru the phone with Voice Activation. Access your music, find out artist info, contacts, and much more. It all works through phonetics...
