I've attempted to use wi fi on several occasions and I connect but I'm still not able to access internet or receive email. is there some type of configuring that needs to be done in advance? do I need to set up wi fi on my phone then use it? I've heard others using it but for whatever reason I still cannot connect in bad areas.

When you say you are connected do you mean that you "see" the network? there is a difference when you think you are connected open wirless wireless manager goto settings then wireless LAN settings this page will show you status to see if you really are connected what signal strength you have, IP address assigned ect... alot of wirless access has security requiring adding your mac ID to the router or you adding ssid to your phone. I use my WIFI when at home cause it is faster than my Data plan (which I use every were else because even thought I find lots of "hot spots" most of them are secure.

I am no expert but do have a bit of experiance setting up small networks so if you have any more questions fire away. (you can email me if you want just click my logi...
