Sprint version (PPC-6700)
Hey, i am currently looking to buy this phone off ebay, and i'm finding more available in the sprint version rather then the verizon version, which is the carrier i'm with. I was wondering if a sprint version of this phone would work on verizon's network if i bought it unlocked. Please reply....

probably would but too buggy.. Sprint by far has the cheapest data plans and also on Sprint the phone may be used as a modem and is not metered so essentially free use of device...

From a Technical standpoint : YES IT IS DOABLE. Both carriers use the same phone
From a RED TAPE standpoint : NO. Both SPRINT and VZN use a billlng/provisioning system that recognizes each phone on their network by the ESN. So when you try to activate a phone, the system knows, the make, model by just typing in the Serial Number. SPRINT and VZN will NOT add a "third party" phone into their network.
I know its dumb - you would think you would be entitled to do that - but not possible. Sorry !
