UTStarcom PPC-6700 / XV-6700 / HTC Apache

Hello, I just bought a starcom off ebay 🙄 The woman swears this phone worked when she sent me the phone. So I've been trying to get it to work. The problem is the only screen it will show is the white alltel screen with the numbers at the bottom, any help would be appreciated, Thanks

A couple of weeks ago my 6700 started to act funny with regards to alerts. They will pop-up and display for a second then disappear. Then the phone will just keep beeping the alert. But there is no way to snooze or dismiss the alert.

Has anyone else experienced this? or know why it's occurring?

When I am on my bank website for online banking I can't get my username to work. I enter in my username and then it says characters in username are invalid. Any ideas to get this to work.

For some reason my phone randomly send outs some of my e-mails as text messages to people. I have no idea how this is happening. It happens about once a week. Someone will get a text message from me and say "you just forwarded me one of your e-mails". I use hotmail as my e-mail. Does anybody have any idea how or why this is happening or how to make it stop?

Why doesn't the time set automatically on this phone?

I just got the xv6700 and activated it. I noticed i cant send pix/flix messages. everything else works great, perfect, but i cant send a picture message or recieve one! verizon told me to take the phone back...but everything else works great! thank you so much!!

Can anyone give us a straight answer? We bought the XV6700 along with the Broadband/ Tethering Pkg on-line. We have since found out from our local Verizon that the tethering software was never released and that this pda is not capable of tethering. The salesman checked with a VZ "data consultant" who also said software was due out last year and never released. The WiFi was not what we were looking for and certainly would not have paid $15 per month for it when we could go with the Bberry and have a tethered modem at broadband speed. I have not been able to contact AudioVox.

PLEASE does anyone know any details?

I have been able to use my handset as a modem in the past, however, I had to have the phone swaped out because of an issue. Now I can not find the file that I would click onto in order to use the phone as a modem. Can anyone HELP!

Does anyone know how to download and where to find a Java application for the PPC so that it can access sites that require you to have Java?

I tried to hard reset my phone to no avail. My screen is a white out and last time this happened I did a soft reset and it came back. It didn't work this time so I tried to do a hard reset and it won't work. The screen just comes up white again. If I turn the phone to an extreme angle I can see blue tones, but thats it. After I tried to do a hard reset the screen just stayed white. I then did a soft reset and all of my info is still there?? After I did the hard reset I waited for 5 minutes before doing a soft reset. Any ideas???

I used over the air activesync and havent been avaible to find a way to set the emails to save onto my storage card instead of the phones built i n storage memory. Does anyone know how to do this is? it a registry hack?

CAN ANYONE WALK ME THROUGH THE STEPS TO MAKE MY OWN RINGTONES , BECAUSE I HEARD I CAN USE SONGS I HAVE ON MY WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER BUT I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK AND HOW CAN I WATCH VIDEOS ON THIS PHONE.

i just got the phone and the sound sucks. Is there any way to hack or update the phone to fix this. the earpiece on the handset is to low and so are the ringers.

I bought a PPC6700 off of Ebay and of course, the thing is locked to a specific carrier. Is anyone aware of the unlock code for this pda phone?

I'm thinking of getting a ppc-6700 (Sprint). i need some one who knows what there talking about to tell me some facts and really make up my mind.

1. data plan, do i need one or not.

2. wi-fi & phone on whats the deal. (same time)

Can i pull up full web pages not the Mobile garbage.

what are some REAL speeds i can see download wise.

When I connect my phone to my computer at different times at various intervals my computer disconnects from the network. Does anyone have an idea why?

I had phone for a about a month, and during last 10 days, two phones are malfunctioning. I cannot hear nor speak into the phone. There is absolutely no sound coming from the phone. I suppose to get my 2nd replacement phone on Monday, but this is becoming a big hassle to keep getting new phones for the same problem.

They said it is Not a known problem, but how could this happend to me 2x in less than 10 days??

I just cracked the screen on my xv6700, is there a way to retrieve my contacts after insurance sends me a new phone? Please help!!!
