BlackBerry 7100i

Just to let everyone know that didnt. Nextel finally released an update for the 7100i that allow you to play wav ringtones, and use the dimension zen and today theme (which are awesome, by the way). If you just go to blackberry.com and look up your phone model and look under downloads, it is the latest update. It is like getting a whole new phone for Free! I love it.

Southern linc just released this phone please update.

The one good thing Blackberrys had going for them and they get rid of it. How dumb is that?

is it true that there is text message plans for this phone?? i called nextel and they said that it is a pay as u go texting and they charge 10 cents a text sent and received?? is it true?

OK everywhere I have read this phone has SMS/EMS/MMS capabilities, in all the Verizon press releases I saw online, so where is it? I can only create a SMS or email?

Anyone know where the MMS went?

I have nextel now so id like to try to stay from cancelling my contract.

I want something that I can pay a monthly fee for data services bc i plan on using a lot of bandwidth.

I would like VPN access.. pop3 client.. webbrowsing.. IR for remote.. as well as RF for X10 stuff in my house.. wifi for internet.. some sort of expansion slot for additional memory.. i know CF has 4gb which would be nice so i can also use it as mp3 player.. and possibly a way to have my mp3 on my vpn at home.. login and stream the mp3 over to the unit and pass onto a bluetooth headphones for excercise at the gym..

i know this sounds demanding but i dont want something that im not going to like.

A buddy returned it and went back to the 7520. It had a number of bugs netel admitted to. Personally the only thing I like is the screen. Ill wait for the next full size blackberry with the same screen as the 7100. Plus, I hate that new keyboard, ill stick to the full size keyboard also.

I also forgot to mention they use a different type of plastic on the 7100. Its not the same quality as the 7520, it feels REALLY cheap. Blackberries are know for durability and taking drops etc really well. I'm curious how these 7100 series models will compare. Ill keep my 7520 for now.

Is there a Hi-cap Battery for the 7100i ?

What kind of ringtones can we download on this BB 7100i, can we get the mp3 ones or what?

I currently have the 7520 and receive text messages but can't simply hit reply and write back. Will that be different on the 7100i? I've seen specs about multi-media messenging but does that include simple text messenging. Thanks for any info. -MGM
